Thread: 56 Special Dynaflow to 54 Century

    Hi all!

Has anyone got info about differences in '56 Dynaflows apart from the tail lenght between small and large body models? I have thought about changing a '56 Special Dynaflow to my '54 Century mainly for fuel economy and better acceleration. I know there were differences in '54 Special and Century Dynaflow turbine vanes, but does that apply to '56? I assume the bell housing and other measurements make it a bolt-on project. Please, correct me, if I'm wrong.

    Thanks beforehands for the info!

According to the "Hollander" interchange book, there is no interchange there. The bellhousing will fit and I think you can install it with a little work. Check the length.-Jim
