    Is there a light in the shift indicator in the console of a 66 GS ?

    Yes, the shop manual says there are two lamps in there.

    Does it show a procedure for changing them because I can't find them?

    Lightbulb

    There's an exploded parts view of the console but not much else. The lamp sockets are accessible from the back of the plate which holds the shift selector scale. One lamp is up at the front by the P position, one at the back by L1. These sockets snap into the back of the plate. The plate appears to snap into the console.

    I found it last night allyou have to do is pry the indicator up and it pops out thanks for the help
