Have a straight 8 and have several questions.

Does anyone have good pictures of what a straight 8 should look like. I'm concerned about connections and possible missing components.

Have determined the carter carb is missing its orig glass bowl and has a modern fuel filter installed. The fuel line goes into it, but the vacumn line from the fuel pump is not attached. where should it attach? Was it originally on the glass bowl filter also, or did it screw into the intake manifold?

The vacumn line (rubber hose) for the wipers is attached to the intake manifold. On some pictures It loks like this attaches to a device on passenger side of the firewal. Where should it attach?

The shop manual doresn't provide a good point of view. Any detail pistures woul dbe appreciated.
    Thanks

The vacuum side of the fuel pump is an aid to the winshield wipers. The line should come from the intake manifold to the fuel pump to the windshield wipers.

Thanks Bob. Where on the fuel pump would the hose from the wipers go? All inlets are blocked with bolts.

To shelbydog. The car is a 1950 special jetback 46D model
