Thread: '66 Buick GS conv. cowl question

Does anyone know if a cowl section could be from a '66 hardtop skylark or gs could be used to fix a convertible cowl ? In particular the right side of the cowl on my car, by the airbox, is full of fibre strand and patched sheetmetal as well as sheetmetal patches all the way across the dash for the windshield seal. I want to fix this in the best/cost effective manner. I'm not looking to make a 100 point show car. This was a huge surprise to me as I did not get to see the car before I purchased it, and went on the word of a 'body man' who was storing the car, and the current owner. I did specifically ask about the cowl, and was told, "I don't see any rust" by the body guy. Today 4/31, I was replacing the dash wiring harness and found this huge nightmare.

If anyone know where I could get a cowl for this car PLEASE let me know.

Thanks,
Harry

If we are talking the actual cowl, or the cowl top that hides the wiper mechanisms, yes they are the same.

We are not only talking Skylark, but ALL "A" body. So you could get what you need from a Chevelle as well.
