61 buick lasabre-what to paint first?

I have purchased another buick. This one will need the engine and compatment painted as it looks bad. The body is in good shape but will need painting. I want the engine pulled and the job done right, however, I have to keep to a budget. My question - is it better to paint the engine first or the body first? What is a fair price for each. I dont want to get screwed. Thanks mark

the way I do it is, I pull the engine and all other stuff, paint the engine bay, inside of the hood and engine, put everything back together and then do the outside of the car.
