I may be able to purchase my cousin's 1996 Skylark Convertible with a 310 V8, and it only has about 64000 miles on it. I love this car and have driven it on numerous occasions! It drives great! The frame, however, is rusted to the point of being dangerous, which has been confirmed by professional body men. Is it possible to purchase a new frame for this car, assuming I can get it "installed" reasonably. Is it the same as the frame used for the 2dr hardtop? This car has some sentimental value too, but maybe I should forget it. Any ideas?

You can't get a "new" frame, but good used ones are available. The convertible frame is fully boxed unlike the closed car frame so you would have to find a convertible one.
As far cost, it is a pretty big job and would cost quite a bit. How much depends on the labor rate in your area and many other factors.
