I have an all original rust-free 1968 Rivvy GS, 430 big block, 95k miles, all options etc. The black interior is mint. The exterior has original dark drab olive green paint that needs to go! It is faded and wrinkled and peeling. Should I repaint it the original color to get the highest resale value or would a gloss black depreciate it's collector's appeal? I have already refinished the black vinyl top already. Any feedback from the enthusiasts would surely help. Thanks so much!
Generally speaking a color change is an accepted modification to a restored car. Most people will accept that as long as they like the color!
