12.50 at 105 MPH. 500-525 hp/tq. The cam, compression and carb will hold you back from more. Careful of the Mustang with the snake on the side and supercharger whine.

Real tidy! Looks like it could have always been there!

Now the wife won't have to wait so long when she sends you to the store for milk...

    Bob,

It was there from the factory. The 03 and 04 Cobra came stock with the supercharger, a 281 CI V8 with forged internals, four valves per cylinder, a 6 speed manual and 3.55 rear gears. One ride at the dealer and I was suddenly a fan of at least one Ford. It was a little under rated at 390 HP stock, but it doesn't take much more then bolt-ons and some supercharger/plenum/throttle-body porting to put it in the 600-650 HP range. I have been having so much fun modifying and playing with this car over the last two years that it is hard to get back to the projects that are not running. Don't worry though, I will get back to the Buicks. Now parts and milk runs are a flash! Here is another look:

    Bob,

According to your playtoy, my 49 Super ought to turn 20 and 67 . . . . . damn, I'll have to be careful not to peel the paint off . . .

Any time Ford has put their mind to it, they've clobbered Chev in performance--witness Carol Shelby, GT40, the first Gran Torinos of NASCAR. Problem has been that they never stayed with it after they proved their point. One wonders what Ford would have now if they'd gotten into competition with the Vette, and stayed with it all these years.
