I just bought a '69 GS 400 conv. #'s matching 4spd w/a.c. My original intent was to do a new interior/top/paint and just enjoy it, but as I research the car it looks like it's either a white elephant or pretty rare. Does it warrant doing a frame off? I can't find any recent sales on these cars as either totally restored as a low #2, or a driver #3 condition. Any input?

I'm not sure about actual SALES value, however here are a couple of links indicating at "Wishful Values". The Gold book link didn't actually break it down into 4 speed with air, so it looks like quite a gap between their value and the NADA. Gold Book has some pretty good definitions of the values and explanations of sale prices etc. if you dig into their site.
