Guys- according to BUICK MOTOR DIVISION- the 64 Lesabre WAGON ( 4635 and 4645) came standard with the 401. The 300 was not available in the wagon series. The 425 was the optional engine.
I have a numbers matching 64 wagon, Black/Black with the standard 401, super turbine 400, and 3:07 open rear ( its a 2 seat wagon)
side note" this car when i bought it had a WILDCAT emblem on the dash, and the WILDCAT horn button. A friend of mine has one in New York that was purchased new by the RJ Reynolds tobacco company for one of their top salespeople- its Bronze metallic, brown interior, this a 425 dual quad, cruise, air, windows, and BUCKET SEATS with console- obviously a special order" I'd like to hear from more 63-64 wagon owners- they seem to be comming out of the woodwork recently
nailheads forever
