I just bought a 1951 Buick Delux 48D, I need to find out what size motor I have the number on the block is 6359526-4. I also need a water pump, and the hood release for the interior on both sides! I love this car, it has so much style and room. has anyone here bought a 12 Volt wireing kit and installed it, if so how do you like it?

C.P., The -4 suffix on the engine serial number indicates it was built for a Special series car. The first 7 digits indicate it is an engine number past the 6 million mark. The number falls in the range for 1951 models, about 1/4 way into the production run that year. This indicates it is a 1951 Special engine which agrees with your car description. All Specials that year came with the 263 cid straight 8.
