    1941 converted into pickup

The guy who owns this swears this was converted by a guy from Australia who was brought over just to convert cars into pickups! It is a very nice job and doesn't look butchered up inside or outside. It was then fitted with a 1941 Chevrolet bed supposedly.

    Vin is 14038551

    Any thoughts on the validity?

    it's possible.

they used to do all kinds of crazy stuff back in the day. i've seen ad copy for Buick rail service cars ( normal street going automobiles that can drop axles to put steel wheels on rails ).

i doubt that's going to be widely known or documented though. and it certainly doesn't sound like a factory option.

Buick actually did make trucks, but that was WAY back, a hundred years ago.

and Buick engines actually did get put into ( Chevy ) trucks by GM, but those were 322ci Nailheads about ten years newer than your find.
