    The serial number won't tell you much. The Century came with either the 6-bolt top cover synchromesh manual transmission or the Dynaflow automatic.

    6A3036947

    6 = Series 60/Century
    A = 1954
    3 = Linden, NJ
    036947 = sequential number, range for Linden was 001001 to 055955

    Thank you for your answer, I know that in the car must be the automatic transmission but I don't know the type or specification of the transmission. I have the question yet, can I detect from the serial number the body number? Thank you for your time... Karel
