    Team Washington!

What's up guys! I'm based in Tacoma, Washington and after years of waiting have finally inherited my grandma's 2000 Buick Century. (Not by death.) I know the 6th gens aren't special to most, but I grew up with the car and fell in love early. I'm also an automotive mechanic, I look forward to helping people out with issues as well as BSing about modifications and such!

More WA people! Are there any automotive related events you attend in the area? I've had zero luck finding anything that isn't "built" (eBay fart can and hot air intake) civics and teenagers, probably because publicity brings about those individuals.

you know, that Century looks like it might be a good candidate for a 1999 Riviera SC engine swap.

The "car show" season basically just ended last weekend here, not much to do until March/April. Car show calendar can be found here, and has about 70% of the events on it. http://www.cruzinmag.com/calendar.html

The local Buick Club meets the second Thursday of each month at Trotter's in Auburn, meeting officially starts at 7, but people start showing up around 6-6:15 to chat before hand.

I think Griot's usually has something going on one weekend a month.

I've been thinking more along the lines of a ASC/McLaren 3.1 turbo swap

but a 3.1L is not a Buick engine!

yes, i know, we're terribly prejudiced here. the larger problem is that wiki says that only 749 McLaren cars were produced. so you're trying to find an engine that is 35hp down from the SC Riv AND, that when new, was 1 of <1000 production.

come to the Dark Side, Luke!

    Replacing a 60 degree v6 with a 90 degree v6... I don't know about all that. 90 degree v's are for V8's.
