    how do I get the steering wheel off my 65 without breaking anything?

    I see instructions for the 60 wheels in references.. but not mine...
    Just dont want to break anything...
    No 65 manual.. 60 and then 66 and nothing I found in 66...

    tearing it apart to install new bearings and turn signals..

    Here are some more drawings from the '65 full-size car manual. Surprisingly there were no step-by-step disassembly instructions for the non-tilt column. The exploded parts view is for Wildcat-Electra 225 auto column-shift cars. There wasn't one for LeSabre.

    Appreciate that.. do you have the diagram for under the steering wheel as well? I think there is a big spring missing that goes between the steering wheel and the canellind assembly that has the contact circle on it..

    Spring that holds down cancelling camv

    Mine is missing...
    any idea of the length and pressure so I can source a spring? Or know of a source for one? Thanks!

    If the ground is what activates the horn relay and the button on the wheel does that.. where does it get its ground?
    I see a single wire going up the column in disgrams and its missing..
    the buttons are connected to the springloaded contact on the brass ring of the cancalling cam.. but I am confused where those contacts are supposed to be supplying a ground from.
