    Smile 1969 riviera benck seat mounting brackets

    Hi; any one parting out a 69 Riviera? a previous owner must have been quite tall, he lowered the seat by an inch.
    So I need a set of unmodified mounting as I am 5ft. 9in. Would love to get the car back on the road so would
    appreciate any help.

    It appears the seat adjusters have to be replaced to restore original cushion height.

    The seat adjuster part nos are the same for '67-70 Rivieras with full-width manual seats: right - 7659790, left - 8768006. Most other full-size Buicks in these years with that type seat use the numbers as well. Some premium models with an upgraded interior use different numbers.

    The numbers also appear for '67-70 Chevy full-size cars with manual bench seats. Similar to the Buicks, the numbers are used on '67-70 Olds 88 and 98 except for some premium upgraded models. A few NOS units appeared during searches on the Net.

    There are two sets of mounting holes on the adjuster feet to provide an extra inch of front-to-back travel if owner desires. The seat can be restored back to original position if previous owner used the extended range. See attached drawing from the body manual.
