Need some ideals on a crazy project

I put a Buick 455 in a 1993 Chevy 4x4 and having problems with finding manifolds or a set headers that will work . Interested in see if someone has ever done it before and what they used for exhaust.

wouldn't Chevy have had more than one 4x4 model in 1993?

there's not a whole lot of difference between the various stock BBB exhaust manifolds, they're all rear dump. i suppose you could try flopping them backwards and seeing if one side could loop to the front and then come back down the other side?

www.TAPerformance.com has shorty headers, i have no idea if they're going to fit your application.

have you tried shifting the mounting points? the BBB engines ( 400, 430, 455 ) have 3 holes for engine mounts on each side of the block, but only two holes are used at any one time by the engine mount. Buick did this so they could adjust the position of the block as necessary depending on the model the engine was being installed in.

obviously, using the middle and front bolt hole means maximum back set for the engine and the least nose weight. it's about a 3" back set versus using the rear bolt hole. this may also give you the exhaust clearance you needed.
