    364 nailhead power increase

    Hi!

I have a Special model 41 from 1958. How can i increase the power of my engine. For example the roadmaser have 300 hp, my car have 250hp. Where are the differences.

    Thanks!!

4 barrel intake, full dual exhaust with crossovers and headers would be a good start.

getting the higher compression ratio ( 10.0:1 vs 9.5:1 ) would require a full engine rebuild and at that point you may as well go with custom pistons and cam.

getting something other than a Dynaflow behind the engine would probably do more than anything else performance wise. the Dyna is rather notorious for it's NON-performance. unfortunately, that would also require a lot of work.

we have a bit of technical info on the Nailhead but i don't think we have any specific articles devoted to building one for power.
