ask what the heads and pistons are. 1967-70 are best stock, with smallest combustion chambers. 71-74 are acceptable. 75-76, you should plan on swapping out.
ask if it's got HEI or points. HEI can be swapped into any BBB.
except it runs perfectly fine on regular 87 octane. That tells me it will probably be at least a little depressing power wise.
that means static / dynamic compression is probably on the low end.
any decent running BBB will have tons of torque. great for roasting tires and stop light drags but might be gasping a little on the big end at a strip.
3.08 isn't really a highway gear but it's not a drag gear either.
200r4 isn't as heavy duty as a TH-400 but it's got a steeper #1 as well as OD.
