    New 1965 Skylark owner

Picked up a 65 skylark a few months ago. It has a 300 2 bbl with a ST 300 trans. Looking to replace my single exhaust with duals. What size would you guys recommend. I’m think 2.25 or 2.5.

on the one hand, i'd go smaller just because of concern over keeping exhaust velocity up.

on the other, a 2v 300ci is not likely to be much of a tire roaster anyways. so ... go with the exhaust that produces the most pleasing note?

if you decide to build up the 300, there's an aluminum 4v intake / heads available from 1964 only.

and then there is also a cast iron 4v intake that you can get from 1965 and maybe some in 1966.

and then there's the notorious option of swapping in a Buick 340 / 350 crankshaft.
