    Stuck vent cables

Most of my vent cables are either stuck or vary hard to operate on my 55 Buick Special. Car is in great shape and I'm using it as a daily driver. I'm thinking of somehow coating the outside surface with something and hoping it will penetrate the outer sleeve to allow better operation. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

Any penetrating oil applied to the outside coils should free it up; then some light oil to keep it that way. If no joy then remove for replacement. Most lawn equipment repair places can duplicate.
