    350 rebuilt questions

Hey everyone, I am rebuilding a Buick 350 engine, and was wondering what can I do to get the engine to spit out more horsepower?

I am sending the engine block to get it redone, but what other options can I do to the engine?

Its going into a 1970 Buick GS, it is a non-AC car from the factory, which is another issue; should I add AC to the car?

    Thanks for your all's help!

    William.

if you're having the block redone anyways, you should check out one of the threads on oil modifications. that's really not performance related, but you're not going to be very happy if the engine blows up after you spend a bunch of money on this.

is this a Buick shop? ie - do they have experience with the turbo 6 / big block or Rover v8? what are they going to set the bearing clearances at? Buicks do NOT like the large clearances that normally get used for Chevy rebuilds.

many people like the results of the TAPerformance.com RV cam, especially for the street. if you want to turn some rpm / HP, you need to let us know what your performance goal is.

check out the reference section, we host multiple performance articles for the 350.
