    1965 skylark coup

    really enjoying rebuilding this skylark I' done a couple mustangs and jeeps but this is my first buick. all I can say is so far parts and info are much harder to come by.

    1st gen Skylark runs 64-67 so the 1966 Chassis Manual should cover almost everything on your car.

    engine should be a 300 or 340, so you can look for parts from the Rover stuff. a Buick 350 ( 1968-81 ) should be pretty much a drop in swap but Buick changed the valve order from the earlier gen variants of the engine so nothing in the top of the engine will swap.

    because of the tall deck and long stroke, the Buick 340 is actually pretty close in size to the Buick 455 so that's another popular swap.
