    Skirts for 67 LeSabre?

Does anyone know if fender skirts were an option on the 67 Le Sabre? On the options sheet (from this site's Reference page) they are not listed, but maybe part of trim package? Looking around on the web, I found some for the Electra, Riviera, and Skylark, but not for Le Sabre. I was thinking that they would look pretty cool.

I suppose a good body guy with a fist full of cash, a couple sticks of chrome molding and patch panels from my donor car could put something together!

Any ideas on this one guys?

    Skirts for 67 LeSabre

Actually the simularaty of the LeSabre and the Electra in the body Style are close enough that it is very easy to fab in skirts from an Electra. The cost shouldn't be any higher than having minor quarter panel or fender whel work done.

Wildcat 67/68 should have a skirt that would fit right in, all you need on the inside are the brackets to hold it in I think.

I think Ted and jnelson are right. The Buick Master Parts book shows skirt (aka Rear Wheel Opening Cover) listings for the Skylark, Wildcat, and Electra but not the LeSabre. Part number for the skirt less moldings and mounting hardware is 1380442 right, -443 left as used on 67-68 Wildcat and Electra.

The outer rear quarter panel and other sheet metal parts are the same for the Wildcat and LeSabre. The Wildcat adds in front bracket, rear bracket, and a center support up in the wheelhouse to hold the skirt in position.

Not sure how the rocker panel molding will look with skirts added. The molding on the Wildcat is different.

See attached pages from the Parts book.

Cool RE: Skirts for 67 LeSabre

Thanks for the info. I hope to have my car and the few additional parts I need ready to go to the body shop by this time next year, so hopefully between now and then I will either find a set or the hardware at least to have a set fabricated. Having part #'s always helps. By the way, is the parts book something that is available online?

Now if I could just find a front bumper emblem...Never done looking for parts!

Thanks again, and have a good one,

    Doug

I was able to download the parts book from www.wildaboutcarsonline.com

The bumper emblem is bound to be in there.
