    Convertible storage

Whenever you store a convertible for an extended period of time, always put the top up and lock the latches. This will keep the material in the position where it is supposed to be and prevent shrinkage.

IF the storage area is in a damp location put some grease on the convertible top piston rods, which will be in their extended position, when the top is up. This helps to keep the rods from rusting & then tearing the seals in the pistons when the top is put back in the down position. Will save the grief of having to have the pistons rebuilt or replaced if the internal seals get torn from rust.
