I've been a Buick fan since I was a little kid. The first Buicks in my family happened to be a 1951 Super coupe (totaled within a year by another driver) and a 1952 Super coupe. Those were followed by a 1954 Super coupe (detect a pattern) and on down the line. I presently have a 1951 Buick Roadmaster in need of restoration, a 1961 Buick Electra 4 door hardtop (drive-able survivor w/54,000 miles), a 1967 Buick Skylark 4 door hardtop (drive-able survivor w/52,000 miles), and a 1969 AMC AMX that I purchased new upon my return from SE Asia. Hopefully this will be a good source for parts and also information on my three Buicks. Thank you for reading.
four speed in the AMX?
i'm assuming you got one of the larger v8s?
interestingly, the AMC v8 shares bore spacing with the Buick big blocks ( 4.750", 400ci / 430ci / 455ci ) and *might* be a source for forged cranks.
