    53 special wheel debate!

So I took the old set of wheels off my 53 special and I put a new set on. I have mixed feelings about the new set. Everybody has their opinions when they see the car. Some like the original Wheels, some like the new Wheels. The car will be lowered in the future so keep that in mind. But I would like your guys input because I value your opinion more than most because you are the guys who own the cars. I'll post pictures of the car in both sets of shoes. Tell me what you think! Thanks ahead of time.

I too prefer the originals, but having said that it's your car and you should run what you like. I would not go past a 16" on that car with a 50 profile. Those look like they may be 17" or even more.

Yeah, they are 18's. Any particular reason you wouldn't go that big? It seems as though the original Wheel and Tire were larger diameter? Thanks in advance.

Esthetics, I am leaning on 68 and my mind is not conditioned to that look, to old eyes, it looks too extreme. Just a personal thing, young eyes may love it. That is why you should do what you like. Similar overall tire diameter is a good thing to keep in mind when changing your wheel and tire diameter.

It is a good looking car.
