55 Buick Special Headlight and Turn Signal Splices

I have a 55 Buick Special and I wanted to replace the front turn signal assembly, but when I unscrewed the terminals where the headlights and turn signals connect and the strip started to break. Does anyone still make these splice blocks? Where can I get them from.

Block, headlamp wire junction, no 1998792

The Buick parts book shows it is a Delco-Remy part no 1998792. This one shows applications on several other GM brands. It was discontinued about 1979.

Chevy trucks used it on their '54 models per their parts book. A supplier of classic truck parts www.classicindustries.com shows this part as available. Plastic is red. Brackets around mounting holes may need removal.

Other suppliers may stock it as well. There was one outdated auction for one on eBay some time back.

Those are called junction blocks. NAPA and Ace Hardware both stock those items. They will probably bolt right in. I have one from Cole Hersey and the holes line up perfectly.
