    rod bolts

awhile back someone asked if anyone made a rod bolt for a 322 and i don't remembering if anyone adressed the question. now my question is the same., or is a rod bolt or head bolt the same to any of the other nail head motors.

The 322 connecting rod bolt w/nuts is Buick part no 1390956. This part was also used on the 264 nailheads and 322 Chev truck engines. Could not find any available on line except for OEM pieces that occasionally come up on eBay as onesies and twosies.

The '57 and '58 each use one-year only bolts. The '59-'66 are the same and also are used on the 430 and 455. This last type is available from American Racing Products.

There are many different head bolts used depending on position and engine accessories supplied. There's crossover between all the years and motor sizes on these.

Sounds good. Was thinking the same thing. The newer ones are 3/8-24 x 1-7/8" long. Maybe there's not a lot of difference.
