    Hi All
My ride is a 1957 Buick Special Riviera sedan auto
At Easter my drive ended with a small fire in the wiring by the regulator. Fortunately not to much damage and have since got a new engine wiring harness to put in are there any issues I shod be looking out for? I am going to replace the generator with an alternator . Happy to here from anyone with a similar experience or more knowledge than me (everyone)
    Thanks

Hey welcome. I recently watched a video on Youtube where a 50's Chevy has the generator swapped with an alternator. The vehicle looks to have a similar setup to a 50's Buick. The video gives viewers a good idea on how the wiring process works. Not sure if I can post links or not.
