1970 buick wildcat rear window seal

Does anyone have any information on where I can purchase a rear window seal for my 1970 buick wildcat 4 door hardtop? I just rebuilt the engine and removed the rear window and seal to fix a leak. Have called a million companies and nobody stocks them.

It's pretty much a universal thing. Buy it by the foot. I would have thought anyplace that sells auto glass would have it, if not try a Company like Steele Rubber Products.

Stationary glass on GM cars of that year is held to the body with synthetic caulking compound. A rubber sealing strip was used during factory installation to prevent adhesive squeeze-out. Repair installations use masking tape for this purpose instead of the sealing strip.

The 1970 Fisher Body Manual details all the procedures for replacing the glass. First page of that chapter gives a description (see attached).
