    340 fuel pump

Hey guys....I'm working on a 67 lesabre 400 convertible for a friend. It has the 340 4bbl in it. Changing the fuel pump and noticed the replacement has 3 connections on it. The one that's on it has only two. It is a A/C car and that's the pump he ordered. My question is....what is the smaller push on connection for? You have your normal inlet and outlet fittings but theres a extra. I can't seem to find anything about this and why is there a difference for A/C and non A/C for a fuel pump? Thanks in advance.

Return line to the tank. Block it off if there is no return line.
