I wouldn't rely on a picture, the position only depends on how the distributor and the gear were installed. if its off a tooth or several teeth a picture will get you in the wrong position.
Heres a near fool proof way to get it figured out:
1. Remove #1 spark plug
2. stuff a rag in the plug threads
3. bump the starter switch momentarily until it blows the rag out
4. when its blown out, you're very near top dead center #1
5. line up the #1 spark plug wire on the distributor cap, at the position the rotor is pointed. make sure your firing order is correct on the other plug wires
6. reinstall #1 plug and try to start
7. use timing light to time more precisely
this will get you close, but of course not exact
