Most likely? Could have been switched. Also there was an early and a later in 1950. Radio may have been different in each.

Hey Fellas. I recently saw a 1950 Buick Sedanette sitting in a field, but the dash has a radio/grill from a 1949 Buick. Is it possible that this is an early model 1950 & that the 1949 radi grill was original to this car or is it more likely someone swapped the radio grills at some point in the cars life. Everything on the car looks original.
Thanks
Josh

The Buick parts catalog shows early 1950 Specials up to frame serial number 5436910 used the same radio grille as the 1946-48 Supers and Roadmasters. Later 50 Specials used the same grille as 50 Supers, Roadmasters, and all 51-52 series.
This swap may have had something to do with the very early release date (? April '49) of the 50 Specials.
