    buick fireball 8

    i bought this Buick engine and i need help finding out what size and the year it is? the numbers i have found so far are 13434404 and 70575434. if anyone can help that would be sweet. thank you

    OK, Lus, Long pointed you to the decoding tools. That didn't work so lets try something else. Pictures of the engine, both sides so we can see it down low. Especially the distributor and the machined ledge that is either in front of it or to the rear. The numbers you just posted came from where?

    I am not able to upload any pictures of the engine for some reason. I will look and see where exactly the I got the numbers from. Thank you

    you can always open an account on a free webhosting service like photobucket.com or google drive and upload the pics there.

    then you can link to the hosted picture with no issues.

    The second number from the engine can be decoded. The last digit -4 indicates it came from a Special series car. The other numbers indicate a 1953 engine. Motor #6950620 was the first one for that year, the last year for the straight 8. It is 263 cid.
