    Th 400 identificatio

    Hi guys got a th400 .serial number on drvers side is
    H8T10658 .Tag on passenger side is BA 69 1183.can anyone tell me what year and possibly original car

    Looking a the chart we have for the 400, the BA shows as available from '67 to '70 in the GS cars. I don't know, but I wouldn't be surprised if the 69 makes it a 1969 model.

    The last 8 characters of the VIN would normally show up on the driver's side. That string doesn't decode as part of a valid VIN. Unit is probably a replacement transmission or case. See service bulletin below.
