    263 rpm ranges

I am going to install a tach on my 52. right now I go by sound.... what RPM are you guys comfortable with on these? I have a 263 rebuilt in 2014 with new cam, crank, and rod bearings, timing chain and rollers milled head. Dflow, not sure rear end gears, but I normally cruise 70-75 and it does not sound too wound up.

    263 rpm

I have run mine too 4500 in 2nd gear. Remember it reaches design horsepower at mid 3000s. 3.36 gears in mine and it is about 2700 at 70 mph.
