    Hi,
Just discovered Team Buick and started to read some of the posts. Very interesting with lots of experienced folk giving great advice.
I have been having to pretty much go it alone, thus far, when working out issues with my Buick.
I have owned this 1939 Model 40 4 door sedan for the past 9 years. This was built in Australia by the "Holden Body Works".
I believe they came out here as "parts" and then assembled locally. Some of the right hand drive parts are unique to this car. eg steering box.
As it is a right hand drive, it differs from the US models with things like all door handles sourced here in Aus, and are very different to the US models.
So the issues are many when it comes to sourcing these parts that are not the same as the US models.
I am having issues with the front suspension and steering components and trying to work out what is "Buick" and what is "locally put on the Buick".
Lets hope the "experts" on Team Buick can lead me in the right direction to problem solve and repair.
    Cheers ... Peter

GMs term was "Knocked Down Assembly".

eh? you're perfectly welcome here, but you're aware that there are various Buick clubs Down Under, yeah?

obviously, the UK would likely be an alternative source for RHD parts as well.

The chassis and running gear is the same as USA, other than RHD, imported from USA . The front sheet metal & rear guards/fenders are ex USA.
The rest of the body, trim, seats, etc was made by GMH in Adelaide and is very different in detail to USA Fisher bodies.
The most obvious differences is the position of the door handles in the side trim and 2 piece rear window (USA is 1 piece)

Front suspension is as USA. Only a few steering parts are RHD
