Picked up a 1960 Flat top Lesabre

I recently picked up a 1960 4 dr. flat roof Lesabre sedan w/364 2 barrel. Had the carb rebuilt, upper engine rebuild and brakes done. 1 problem, twice now when making a quick or fast turn the vehicle has stalled out on me.(once when turning right on level ground and once when making a left on an incline into the gas station). Started right back up but still, I'm wondering about what caused it. Any ideas? Could it be the fact that I don't have a dashpot for the carb?

This makes two '60 Lesabre's for me, a convertible with the 401/4barrel and this latest one. I've also got a 1969 Sport Wagon 400/4barrel with the vista dome roof. Love them Buicks!

My first impulse was to say that you had a low float level, fuel slosh. My view on the dashpot, it may be that the added load on steering may be contributing but you were probably already at idle well before turning. The dashpot is to simply slow the rate of return to idle. More likely is carb float level or idle adjustment. Just guesses. John

As I knock on wood I think the problem has been solved. As it turns out the cheap-*** fuel pump I installed was just that, cheap-***. It was putting out less than 2lbs. of pressure.
