    VIN decode:

    433077Z108xxx
    4 = Buick
    33 = Special
    07 = 2-door thin pillar coupe
    7 = 1967
    Z = built at Fremont, CA
    108xxx = sequential number, range for Fremont built V8 cars was 100,001 to 121,397 for 1967

    Unfortunately there is nothing on the trim tag that proves a car is a California GS, but the combination of the VIN, Fisher body style number, and trim/paint/top codes matches what I've seen on other California GS cars.

    Trim tag decode:

    01B
    ST 67-43407 BF 000834 BODY
    TR 118 T2 PAINT
    B80 B90 C08
    1762 120093

    01B = body build date = January (01) 1967, second week (B)

    ST = style
    67 = 1967

    43407 = Fisher body style number
    4 = Buick
    34 = Special V8
    07 = 2-door thin pillar coupe

    BF = body built at Fremont, CA
    834 = sequential body number, 843th 43407 built at Fremont, no relation to VIN

    TR = trim
    Trim 118 = Black Vinyl, available on styles 43307, 43407, 43417

    Paint code T = solid Ivory
    2 = Black vinyl roof

    Accessory (ACC.) option codes:
    B80 = Roof drip scalp molding
    B90 = Door window frame molding
    C08 = Custom vinyl top covering

    1762 120093 = sequence/batch numbers, also found on build sheet

    Build sheets are often found on top of the gas tank, under the carpet, under the seat bottoms in the springs, behind the door panels in the doors, and in the dash.

    LA = 2.78 open, Series 43000, 44000 (except Sportwagon and 44600)

    STYLE 44417 1-10-21
    BODY NO OS 401084
    PAINT 9 YY
    TRIM 198
    1 D55 D99 M33

    44417
    4 = Buick
    44 = Skylark V8
    17 = 2-door hardtop coupe

    1-10-21 = build date = First shift on October 21, 1966

    OS = body built at Oshawa, ON
    401084 = sequential body number

    Paint code 9 YY
    9 = enamel paint
    YY = solid Butternut Yellow

    Trim 198 = Black Vinyl with Bucket-Type Front Seats available on styles 44307, 44407, 44417, 44467, 44607, 44617, 44667

    Option codes:
    D55 = Operating Console (w/B1 and Bucket Seats only)
    D99 = Two tone paint
    M33 = Super Turbine Transmission

    The trim tag for the Canadian car is a bit interesting because it shows a solid color paint job on the paint code line but the option code for two tone paint. Does the car have two tone paint? Not sure what the 1 at the beginning of the option code line is for. Post a picture of the trim tag when you can.

    Canadian law requires records be kept for all car built or sold new in Canada. For a fee, you can get a report on your car from here:

    unfortunaty my computer wont let me upload picks

    i think you have to have a minimum number of posts before the board will allow you to host pics on it.

    you can get around that limit by opening a free photobucket, instagram or google+ account, loading the picture to that, and then linking it too the board.

    As soon as you are registered, you should be able to upload over 10Meg of attachments. I don't know what the problem is, what kind of error is being seen?
