    Pinion depth gauge

Does anyone have a GM pinion depth gauge j-8619-01 and j5647-03, and dial indicator j-8001-3 that they would lend, rent, or sell? I'm trying to set up a rear and would prefer not to go the guess-check-measure route. Thanks.

That could be a tough one to find. How about a more generic one like the ones on ebay: pinion depth gauge on ebay, click here
If they made a Ratech one for the rear end you are working on that would be an economical way to go.

certain auto parts stores also have a tool loan / borrow program.

    Advance is one

i think some others allow you to simply give them your credit card info ... and then if you don't return the tool within x number of days they will bill your card for the purchase price.
