    Door panel removal

You will need to remove the window crank handle for the vent window and the armrest before taking off the door panel.

For the window crank, you will need a GM Window Crank removal tool, which is available at most auto parts store. The easiest style is a flat plate with a handle on it. The plate section has a large notch with stepped sides in the notch. There is also a scissors style, but the flat notched style works the easiest. Slide the tool from the knob end of the handle, under the handle between the handle and the plastic washer and push until it stops. Then remove the tool and the handle should come off with a little effort.

The armrest has a couple of large Phillips screws in angled holes on the bottom. Remove these and the armrest will come off.

The door opening handle can now be removed in a similar fashion as the window crank, using the same tool.

The panel itself is held on with hidden clips and Phillips screws. Remove the screws at the bottom of the panel. To pop off the clips, you can use a door panel removal tool or a putty knife. Slide the tool or putty knife between the door panel ans the door and move it along until it stops against one of the clips. If you are using the panel removal tool, slide it around the clip so that the two prongs are on either side of the clip. If using a putty knife, keep it right next to the clip. Now gently pry the clip out of the hole. Then proceed to the next clip and repeat the process.

When all the clips are loose, remove the door lock knob; then you should be able to bring the bottom of the door panel out from the door slightly and lift straight up. The top of the door panel just hooks over the top of the door and can be wiggled off. The door panel should now be off.
    Best Regards,
