Should be able to back off the brake shoe and the drum will slide off.

SOLVED!
New to the old school car scene. Trying to rebuild the rear brakes on my '65 Wildcat. Never seen this "hub" before and am wondering what tool I need to get this hub off so I can remove the brake drum and get to work on the pads and springs...?
The brake drum will slid out about 1/2" and stop on the flanged edge of this center hub.
Is there a tool I need to remove this hub so I can get the brake drum off?

It's stopping at the edge of the center hub I have pictured

Is there a clip or something on the backside keeping the drum from coming off the wheel hub?

Your hung up on one of the shoes. Maybe due to a funny wear pattern on the shoe. Try to turn it (forward and backward) while pulling out on the drum. You might try a little more force while doing it.

Dr. Frankenbuick: I guess you were right!
I used a pry bar while rotating the wheel. It took a min, but I got the drum off.
Not sure what the hang up was, as I don't see anything that was hanging it up, or preventing it from sliding off.
Thx for the assist!

Turn the shoe adjuster screw upwards a few turns and see if the drum will slide back on and off without resistance. if it feels tight, dont slide it all the way back on. Just loosen adjuster screw some more. These shoes can swell if exposed to brake fluid or oil. It makes them very difficult to get off. Also, dirt/rust can get between the shoe and hub making the task difficult. Are you replacing the shoes? Make sure to remember where the short shoe goes when you take it apart.

I replaced he cylinder, both shoes, pins, and all the springs.
The short shoe was the forward shoe.
Everything's back together but now the brake drum will not seat. It feels like the inner drum is hitting the forward shoe at the 9 o'clock position.
After this pic, I turned the adjuster completely closed but no dice gettin the drum back on...

Something seems a skew with the alignment there. The pins should be straight.
