1975 buick 455 intake and carb.

Hi guys, do a edelbrock b4b intake work with a '75 quadrajet carb on a '75 buick 455?
Any thoughts with b4b intake and carberator compatibility on a 1975 buick 455, stock rebuilt engine. What do you suggest? I want to replace the intake and the carb because they are very old and never rebuilt.

The B4B intake with Spreadbore base is for the quadrajet. The 75 Quadrajet was a hot air choke style and can be converted to electric choke.

So yes, the B4B and quadrajet are a good mix.

If you are going to get a different quadrajet, I would recommend a later 70's unit and not the 75.

Thanks. Is the '76 Quadrajet a good choice?
You have a 464 buick. What I have to do for my 455 to become a 464? What is the difference between the 455 and the 464?

76 is a much better Buick quadrajet to work with.

    464 is a Buick 455 that is bored .038.
    462 is a Buick 455 bored .030.

I have one of each. The Buick 455 has thin cylinder walls so .038 is usually as large over standard as you can safely go.

Thank you sir. At which online shops could i find the correct pistons? When buying them should I order .038 pistons I mean could .038 pistons be found? The engine is a little above stock. All new parts, comp cam, b4b or offy dual quad intake. Anything should be changed to work properly with the pistons?

To change Pistons requires complete engine rebuild. Block will have to be bored and new Pistons pressed on to rods. Rotating assembly balanced. It would be part of major overhaul.
