Another newb with a 53 Buick Special

I've wanted a 53 Buick ever since I seen one at a car show as a teenager. Well there's a ton of cars I'd love to have but the Buick has always been on top of the list. Finally after retiring from the military I happen to find one just a few blocks away and to top it off it had the straight 8. A barn find which starts and will go forward and reverse but no brakes, appearantly the lines were cut to pull it at some point. My plans are to get it titled and running then drive it like it is as I slowly make it mine lowering it just enough to look good but be driveable anywhere if that's possible with out airbags. I'll be scouring the forum for tips n tricks.
