Help decoding 1964 Buick Lesabre Station Wagon

    Hi!
Just bought a 1964 Buick Lesabre Station wagon, and need help to get the correct identification.

    Dataplate:
    BUICK DIV. GENERAL MOTORS CORP
    02C FLINT MICHIGAN
    STYLE 4635 BODY 4341 1
    TRIM 463 PAINT K-K
    ACC B2F5 I 6K 6 N 2 P 3 U7
    THIS CAR FINISHED WITH
    Magic-mirror ACRYLIC LACQUER
    A.O SMITH CORP. - IONIA

    VIN PLATE:
    BUICK
    6 KII06I34

    BLOCK STAMPING
    6 KII06I34

    NOW - the car has the following options identified so far;
    • Color Sunburst yellow with some brown interior vinyl cloth
    • AC
    • Power windows
    • Power tailgate window
    • AM radio with power antenna
    • Original Tissue dispenser (Buick accessory)
    • Rear window air Deflector
    • Visor Vanity Mirror
    • Speed minder
    • Tinted glass, all
    • Guide-Matic or Autronic Eye
    • Deluxe Trim
    • Door Edge Guards
    • Cornering Lights (named Corner Lamp in the accessory brochure)
    • Estate Wagon Luggage Rack
    • Back up lights

Car has a 425 Super wildcat engine (?). It has the dual quad, and finned valve covers. Question how to identify if the car came with this engine or it is a later swap or 401 which is dressed up. Super 400 transmission and Positive traction differential , (how to identify).

Will post some pics later! Here's the link to the add

    Appreciate any kind of support

    Thanks

What is the two letter code followed by three numbers stamped on the other side of the valley pan rail on the engine? While the vin matches the engine, the engine code identifies the engine type.

    Thanks for the swift reply!
Have to get it checked Tuesday morning. Car locked in at my friends shop for the weekend. Should the two letters then be KX?

Look for the vehicle protection plan booklet. It may still be in the glove box or in the car. It has the protect-o-plate in the back pages. It will have the original stampings and date and identification codes of the various components. They should all match up. There are also build sheets that may still be under the seats or carpet that have build codes that will provide clarity n the build.
