    300 best carb choice?

I'm running a 66 300 with a carter 4 bbl. Has the stovepipe from the exhaust manifold to activate the choke. Works well in cold weather but not so great in the summer. Thought about upgrading to a new edelbrock with electric choke. Any suggestions would be welcome. I'm a little wary of linkage being an issue. I have the 2 speed st 300 trans with kickdown switch.

    choke

I replaced the choke on my afb with an electric heated one. I got it from NAPA a simple painless installation that works. much better than trying to adapt a new carb to the st-300 linkage.
