Disc brakes and Drop spindles and other brake questions.

    Hi Guys,
I see on a previous post some folks talking about the Scarebird disc kits.
Has anyone used their kit on '66 LeSabre? What are your thoughts?
I live in Australia, so I was looking at getting their complete wheel kit, mainly because second hand US car parts are hard to find here. The complete kit of brackets, calipers, rotors and lines would be the easiest option.

When I made my inquiry, Scarebird said my original booster and master-cylinder will work with disc brakes, but I'm thinking it should be upgraded as well.
Thoughts and suggestions on the above will be appreciated.

Also, I would like to get some drop spindles, but it looks like they may only be made for GM 'A' body cars. Are there any available for the '66 LeSabre? OR... is any other GM cars' suspension interchangeable with the '66 LeSabre?

Anyway, thanks in advance. I reckon you guys may have some answers for me.

    Cheers.

NO other big body GM cars have interchangeable suspension parts with Buick. Tony Gentiacore from Australia have disc brake kits for Rivs. I believe a '66 LaSabre has the same suspension set-up. Now you don't have to worry about the cost of shipping or duty/other fees from the U.S.

    Thanks

    Thanks for the information Tom.
I just had a quick look at Tonys kits and I'll get intouch with him.

I wasn't too worried about postage from the US for the Scarebird kit... I found a company that would sea freight it for $40 Aus. Scarebird quoted $600US. Not sure if that was USPS or personal courier, but ouch!!

    Cheers.
