    header assistance

looking for suggestions for correcting headers contacting frame crossmember when lowering onto mounts on topside of frame. Previous set of kenne-bell headers did not hit.70 gs 455

where did you get these headers?

have you tried notching and boxing the cross member?

you could also build custom mounts and raise the motor / move it back.

there are three mounting holes in each side of the block, i assume you are already using the forward pair of holes on each side? if you're using the rear holes in the block, moving the motor assembly back ( using the front holes ) would improve handling and weight balance of the car but you'll probably have to take a hammer to the firewall in order to get clearance around the transmission.
