    65 lesabre 300 to 73 225 455

Will a 73 225 455 fit up to my 65 lesabre 300 tranny and gears

Will it fit? Yes, with some new holes drilled in the flexplate for the smaller bolt circle of the 300 converter. Will it last? Maybe a week, maybe less behind the big torque of the 455. The 300 trans was just not designed for that kind of torque!

yeah, the TH-300 was never noted for it's durability.

if you're going to do a big block swap, you'll want a TH-350 behind it at minimum. 200r4 gives you an overdrive. TH-400 would be pretty much indestructible.
